First Canadian Chopin Competition

October 17- 23rd, 1999
 

In 1999, the first Canadian Chopin Piano Competition was held at the John Paul II Cultural Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. This important musical event was organized by the Maximilian Kolbe Foundation and Mr. Thomas Stan. Pianists from across Canada participated in the competition and the winners were sent to the 14 th International F. Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland.
